Description
Keep a blood-component expiry transcription together with its timezone label.
Laboratory records connect specimen or analyzer identifiers, measurement scales, codes and source versions. A code label and an image-area calibration describe different parts of that record. Neither replaces examination of a blood film, calibrated laboratory methods or clinical interpretation of a result.
Keep a blood-component expiry transcription together with its timezone label.
When to use this tool
Use Blood Component Expiry Timezone Label when checking the stated laboratory metadata or image-scale convention.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter componentId, expiryLocalText, timeZoneText. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read token. Use the output convention below.
Require nonempty component ID, expiry-local text and timezone text; encode them in that order as JSON text.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| componentId | Component Id | Required. Text; minimum UTF-16 length 1; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
| expiryLocalText | Unparsed nonempty local expiry wording. | Required. Text; minimum UTF-16 length 1; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
| timeZoneText | Unparsed nonempty timezone wording; no timezone lookup or conversion. | Required. Text; minimum UTF-16 length 1; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| token | JSON-encoded ordered tuple or literal token under the convention above; not a database lookup or authentication result. | Required. Text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
{
"input": {
"componentId": "B17",
"expiryLocalText": "2026-11-01 18:00",
"timeZoneText": "UTC"
},
"output": {
"token": "[\"B17\",\"2026-11-01 18:00\",\"UTC\"]"
}
} Limitations and assumptions
- Expiry and timezone are preserved without parsing or conversion; the tool does not determine actual expiry, storage suitability or safe transfusion.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Use verified laboratory records and calibrated measurements, with qualified laboratory/medical interpretation for actual results and care decisions.
