Wearable Wrist Side Record Label Tool

Label a wearable's recorded wrist side and an explicitly reported dominant hand. Ambidextrous or unknown dominance never asserts a dominant wrist.

Description

Validate wrist as left or right and dominantHand as left, right, ambidextrous, or unknown.

Personal health and activity records use supplied observations, labels, and time intervals. A formatter or simple summary can organize those records without assessing health, diagnosing a condition, or recommending treatment.

Validate wrist as left or right and dominantHand as left, right, ambidextrous, or unknown.

When to use this tool

Use Wearable Wrist Side Record Label when you need a bounded personal-record calculation with explicit units and date conventions.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter wrist, dominantHand. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read label, dominantWrist. Inspect dominantWrist before interpreting the associated values.

Validate wrist as left or right and dominantHand as left, right, ambidextrous, or unknown. Label both and set dominantWrist only for exact equality.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Ambidextrous and unknown return false rather than indicating determinate nondominance; no sensor calibration, placement quality, or clinical effect is assessed.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Review the original observations and consult an appropriate health professional for clinical interpretation or care decisions.
