Activity Duration Unit Factor Tool

Convert an explicitly supplied activity duration between compatible elapsed-time units without exercise recommendations.

Description

Multiply duration by source factor and divide by target factor.

Personal health logs distinguish clock coordinates, elapsed durations, pauses, and missing time metadata. A supplied time comparison organizes records without measuring an activity or assessing its health effects.

Multiply duration by source factor and divide by target factor.

When to use this tool

Use Activity Duration Unit Factor when you need one explicit diary-duration or clock-accounting component.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter duration, sourceSecondsPerUnit, targetSecondsPerUnit. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read convertedDuration. Use the output convention below.

Require nonnegative duration and positive sourceSecondsPerUnit and targetSecondsPerUnit. Multiply duration by source factor and divide by target factor.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Factors are seconds per respective unit and must be supplied consistently; no calendar-month interpretation, unit registry lookup, or clinical recommendation is performed.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Retain dates and offset information and consult an appropriate professional for questions about health, care, or suitable activity.
