Cost Utility Parameter Source Year Key Tool

Encode explicit cost-utility parameter source and year metadata without retrieving or recommending parameter estimates.

Loading tool…

Description

Record the source and reference year of a cost-utility parameter.

Health-economic accounting distinguishes evaluation perspective, reference years, utility tariffs, timing and allocated costs. Missing resource use differs from measured zero, and a caller-supplied weight differs from a validated model correction. One cost or budget contribution does not establish cost effectiveness or an appropriate allocation of care.

Record the source and reference year of a cost-utility parameter.

When to use this tool

Use Cost Utility Parameter Source Year Key when checking the stated supplied health-economic record, timing or allocation convention.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter parameterId, sourceId, priceOrStudyYear. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read token. Use the output convention below.

Require nonempty parameter ID, source ID and price-or-study-year text. Encode them in that order as JSON text.1

Input fieldMeaning and unitsAccepted input
parameterIdParameter IdRequired. Text; minimum UTF-16 length 1; maximum UTF-16 length 8192.
sourceIdLiteral source identifier, not a retrieved or verified document.Required. Text; minimum UTF-16 length 1; maximum UTF-16 length 8192.
priceOrStudyYearPrice Or Study YearRequired. Text; minimum UTF-16 length 1; maximum UTF-16 length 8192.
Output fieldInterpretationReturned shape
tokenJSON-encoded ordered tuple or literal token under the convention above; not a database lookup or authentication result.Required. Text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192.

Limitations and assumptions

  • Year text is not parsed as a year; the tool does not retrieve a study, validate a parameter or harmonize prices.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use a complete justified economic model, verified sources and qualified health-economic/financial assessment for real policy or care-allocation decisions.
