GMP Material Lot Expiry

Count signed calendar days to an explicit material-lot expiry date without judging material suitability.

Description

Measure the signed calendar margin to a recorded material-lot expiry date.

Manufacturing quality records connect batch and material IDs, controlled versions, signatures, counts and calendar references. A status label or residual can expose a record convention while actual release, personnel qualification and compliance require verified evidence and authorized procedures. A recorded release label does not itself release anything.

Measure the signed calendar margin to a recorded material-lot expiry date.

When to use this tool

Use GMP Material Lot Expiry when checking the stated manufacturing record, count or calendar-margin convention.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter asOfDate, recordedExpiryDate. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read signedCalendarDays. Use the output convention below.

Parse real YYYY-MM-DD recorded expiry/as-of dates. Return expiry-minus-as-of UTC calendar days, preserving negative values.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • No time-of-day expiry rule, storage condition, material identity or actual suitability is determined.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Review original controlled records, applicable quality requirements and qualified authorized personnel for actual material, equipment or batch decisions.
