GLP Rawdata Correction Original Link Tool

Audit supplied correction links, attribution and reasons without modifying original data.

Description

Compare originalId with correctionParent and originalValue with correctedValue.

Laboratory study records distinguish observations, sample identities, personnel, and supporting sources. Missingness and duplication depend on record scope; a metadata check cannot establish scientific validity or regulatory acceptance.

Compare originalId with correctionParent and originalValue with correctedValue.

When to use this tool

Use GLP Rawdata Correction Original Link when you need a laboratory-record consistency or source-support check.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter originalId, correctionParent, actor, reason, originalValue, correctedValue. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read linked, attributed, reasonPresent, changed. Inspect linked, attributed, reasonPresent, changed before interpreting the associated values.

Compare originalId with correctionParent and originalValue with correctedValue. Return attributed for any nonempty actor and reasonPresent for non-whitespace reason text.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Whitespace-only actor text counts as attributed; these are literal metadata checks rather than identity authentication, a valid audit trail, correction approval, or preservation of original data.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Review the controlled study records and audit trail for the complete evidentiary chain. Resolve duplicate identifiers, sampling units, and authorization rules before drawing study-level conclusions.
