Description
Attach an exchange-rate vintage to a cross-border project record.
International records depend on source vintages, country classifications, population denominators, currency conventions and reporting periods. A code or textual crosswalk is a declared record relationship rather than proof of comparability. PPP-style factors, market exchange rates and physical-flow adjustments answer different questions.
Attach an exchange-rate vintage to a cross-border project record.
When to use this tool
Use Cross Border Project Exchange Rate Vintage when checking the stated international record, basis, flow or allocation convention.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter projectId, suppliedRateText, rateVintage. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read token. Use the output convention below.
Require nonempty project ID, supplied rate text and rate vintage. Encode them in that order as JSON text.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| projectId | Project Id | Required. Text; minimum UTF-16 length 1; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
| suppliedRateText | Unparsed nonempty rate text; currency direction and numeric validity are not checked. | Required. Text; minimum UTF-16 length 1; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
| rateVintage | Rate Vintage | Required. Text; minimum UTF-16 length 1; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| token | JSON-encoded ordered tuple or literal token under the convention above; not a database lookup or authentication result. | Required. Text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
{
"input": {
"projectId": "P17",
"suppliedRateText": "1.20 local/base",
"rateVintage": "2026-10-28"
},
"output": {
"token": "[\"P17\",\"1.20 local/base\",\"2026-10-28\"]"
}
} Limitations and assumptions
- Rate text is not parsed and currency direction or validity is not checked; no live conversion is performed.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Consult original datasets, authoritative classifications and the intended statistical/currency methods before comparing international indicators or financial quantities.
