Water Rock Mass Ratio Label Tool

Preserve an explicit water-rock mass ratio transcription and basis without equating mass and volume ratios.

Description

Label the mass-ratio convention of a water-rock record.

Geochemical results depend on analyte, matrix, dry/anhydrous basis, reference composition, isotope-ratio direction and censoring conventions. A normalized ratio or local correction is distinct from a validated mineral formula or geological interpretation. Operational extraction fractions and nominal site occupancies need their original analytical context.

Label the mass-ratio convention of a water-rock record.

When to use this tool

Use Water Rock Mass Ratio Label when checking the stated geochemical reporting basis, local correction or reference convention.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter sampleId, suppliedRatioText, massBasis. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read token. Use the output convention below.

Require nonempty sample ID, supplied ratio text and mass-basis wording. Encode the ordered triple as JSON text.1

Input fieldMeaning and unitsAccepted input

suppliedRatioTextSupplied Ratio TextRequired. Text; minimum UTF-16 length 1; maximum UTF-16 length 8192.
massBasisMass BasisRequired. Text; minimum UTF-16 length 1; maximum UTF-16 length 8192.
Output fieldInterpretationReturned shape
tokenJSON-encoded ordered tuple or literal token under the convention above; not a database lookup or authentication result.Required. Text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192.

Limitations and assumptions

  • The ratio is not parsed or calculated; water/rock identities, reporting basis and chemical interpretation are not verified.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use verified analytical methods, reference materials and appropriate complete geochemical models with qualified laboratory interpretation for actual results and safe handling.
