Pronoun Form Slot Count Tool

Count supplied form slots under an explicit empty-entry convention without assigning a pronoun paradigm.

Description

Count all forms or only strings of positive length according to emptyIsMissing; return missingRequired and extraSlots as nonnegative differences.

Survey display order, self-description, missingness, and record support are distinct research properties. Literal tokens and counts can preserve those distinctions without inferring a person's identity, preferences, or the meaning of an unprovided response.

Count all forms or only strings of positive length according to emptyIsMissing; return missingRequired and extraSlots as nonnegative differences.

When to use this tool

Use Pronoun Form Slot Count when you need a transparent survey-record, display-order, or time-use calculation.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter forms, requiredSlots, emptyIsMissing. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read recordedSlots, missingRequired, extraSlots. Use the output convention below.

Require nonnegative integer requiredSlots. Count all forms or only strings of positive length according to emptyIsMissing; return missingRequired and extraSlots as nonnegative differences.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Whitespace-only strings count as recorded. This is slot accounting, not grammatical validation, identity inference, or a requirement that anyone supply particular pronoun forms.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use the study's consent, vocabulary, missingness, and disclosure methodology for interpretation. Retain self-described information and assess sampling and privacy separately from local record arithmetic.
