Description
Rank each role by first occurrence in expectedOrder, report distinct unknown roles, and list adjacent role-rank reversals and adjacent decreasing-time indexes.
Good clinical practice record checks compare supplied versions, language labels, roles, dates, and source links. A local metadata match can reveal consistency but does not establish valid consent, competent authorization, or regulatory compliance.
Rank each role by first occurrence in expectedOrder, report distinct unknown roles, and list adjacent role-rank reversals and adjacent decreasing-time indexes.
When to use this tool
Use GCP Signature Role Sequence Check when you need a literal clinical-trial metadata consistency check.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter roles, times, expectedOrder. Keep parallel arrays aligned. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read unknownRoles, reversedOrderIndices, reversedTimeIndices. Use the output convention below.
Require roles and times of equal length. Rank each role by first occurrence in expectedOrder, report distinct unknown roles, and list adjacent role-rank reversals and adjacent decreasing-time indexes.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| roles | Roles | Required. Array of text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192; maximum items 256. |
| times | Times | Required. Array of finite number; maximum items 256. |
| expectedOrder | Expected Order | Required. Array of text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192; maximum items 256. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| unknownRoles | Unknown Roles | Required. Array of text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192; maximum items 256. |
| reversedOrderIndices | Zero-based later indexes of adjacent recognized rank decreases; unknown roles interrupt comparisons. | Required. Array of safe integer; maximum items 256. |
| reversedTimeIndices | Reversed Time Indices | Required. Array of safe integer; maximum items 256. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- Role checks skip comparisons across an unknown role and do not detect all nonadjacent inversions. Duplicate expected roles are not rejected; this does not authenticate signatures or validate authority, completeness, or trial compliance.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
