Description
Measure elapsed time to a recorded endoscopy image capture.
Gastrointestinal study and procedure records use explicit specimen, assay, instrument, site and time conventions. A wet/dry mass label differs from converting a sample basis, while a recorded interval differs from a physiological transit estimate. Metadata alone does not establish anatomy, assay validity or a clinical finding.
Measure elapsed time to a recorded endoscopy image capture.
When to use this tool
Use Endoscopy Image Capture Elapsed Time when checking the stated gastrointestinal record, measurement label or timing convention.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter procedureStart, imageCaptureTime. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read elapsedTime. Use the output convention below.
Require imageCaptureTime>=procedureStart. Return capture-start as elapsedTime in the supplied common unit.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| procedureStart | Procedure Start | Required. Finite number. |
| imageCaptureTime | Image Capture Time | Required. Finite number. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| elapsedTime | Elapsed Time | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- Times are asserted, not read from metadata; no procedure-quality threshold, clinical duration or image content is evaluated.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Use original validated clinical/laboratory records and qualified medical interpretation for actual diagnostic, procedural or care decisions.
