Digitalization Acceleration Driver Tree

Validate a single-root digitalization driver tree from parent indices and report each node's depth and maximum tree depth.

Description

A digitalization driver tree connects each node with one parent.

A digitalization driver tree connects each node with one parent. A valid tree needs one root and no parent cycle.1

The returned values include Driver depths, Maximum depth, Root count, Valid single-root tree. The How section below explains the calculation, input rules and interpretation.

When to use Digitalization Acceleration Driver Tree

Use Digitalization Acceleration Driver Tree when you need to evaluate the supplied records under the calculation and evidence rules below. Depths in cyclic inputs are traversal counts, not valid tree depths. No causal inference or digital maturity assessment is made.

Define the question, evidence and scenario assumptions first. Supply the chosen score scales, time horizons or reference selection explicitly. Interpret generated text as a discussion template and screen labels as the stated rules.

How to use Digitalization Acceleration Driver Tree and understand its results

  1. Define the question, evidence and scenario assumptions first. Supply the chosen score scales, time horizons or reference selection explicitly. Interpret generated text as a discussion template and screen labels as the stated rules.
  2. Enter driverIds, parentIndices using the field table and calculation rules, then run the tool.
  3. Read depthAssignments, maximumDepth, rootCount, validTree. The explanation below defines the units, signs, ordering and any flags or placeholder values.
  4. If the tool reports an input issue, correct the values and run it again. Apply the stated assumptions when interpreting a successfully returned result.
Input fieldMeaningValue type; see rules belowRequirement
driverIdsDriver IDslist of stringRequired
parentIndicesOne -1 root marker or valid parent index per driver.list of numberRequired

Require aligned nonempty trimmed nonblank IDs and safe-integer parents−1 or valid indexes; duplicate IDs are allowed. Follow parent chains, return traversal depth labels, maximum, root count and validTree. Cycles return false rather than an input error.

valid=exactly one parent−1 AND no cycles

Units, indexing, boundary conditions and exceptional cases are defined in the calculation rules above.

Limitations and assumptions

Depths in cyclic inputs are traversal counts, not valid tree depths. No causal inference or digital maturity assessment is made.

Numeric inputs, where present, must be finite. Follow the calculation-specific rules for overflow, underflow and exceptional cases. Core numeric and string lists are limited to 100,000 entries; text entries are subject to the general large-text limit. Follow any smaller calculation limits above. Missing fields without a declared default, extra fields, wrong value types and violations of the calculation rules are input errors. A successfully returned false flag is an evaluated outcome; its meaning is explained above.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use NBIC Convergence Nano Bio Info Cogno Driver Tree: NBIC denotes nano, bio, information and cognitive areas in a convergence map. Tree structure and area coverage are separate checks. For a complementary task, use Urbanization Driver Implication Chain Builder: A driver graph records directed implications. Reachability identifies which listed drivers can be reached from a chosen root.
