Description
Return second/first as cohesiveness.
Food-process terms can describe heat, flow, texture, color or gas behavior under a chosen model. A local factor or physical ratio is different from validating the full process, product quality or microbiological safety.
Return second/first as cohesiveness.
When to use this tool
Use Food Texture Double Compression Area Ratio when you need one explicit food-process or physical-model term.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter firstCompressionArea, secondCompressionArea. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read cohesiveness. Use the output convention below.
Require positive firstCompressionArea and nonnegative second. Return second/first as cohesiveness.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| firstCompressionArea | First Compression Area | Required. Finite number; strictly above 0. |
| secondCompressionArea | Second Compression Area | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| cohesiveness | Cohesiveness | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- Both areas are compatible force-distance or force-time integrals under the same test convention. The ratio can exceed one and does not validate a full texture-profile analysis.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Use the complete validated process and measurement method for practical decisions. Review calibration, composition, uncertainty and omitted mechanisms before interpreting a local estimate.
