School Bag Weight Percent Body Weight Safety Checker
Observed schoolbag/body mass percentage screen against caller limit; not pediatric safety determination.
Description
Flag a schoolbag-to-body-mass percentage above a caller-selected review threshold.
A schoolbag-to-body-mass ratio can be compared with a review threshold chosen for a particular context. The entered threshold is a caller decision, not a universal safety percentage.
When to use this tool
Flag a schoolbag-to-body-mass percentage above a caller-selected review threshold. Use it when the input measurements and conventions below match the operation you need.
- Prepare bagKg, bodyKg, callerReviewPercent, respecting the measurement basis and boundaries below.
- Compare the worked example with your intended operation before reusing its result.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter every field in the input table using the stated units and exact supported selector spelling where applicable.
- Run the tool. Correct input errors before interpreting an output.
- Read the result fields below; use accompanying flags and the stated sign, boundary or model convention when interpreting a number.
Bag mass must be nonnegative, body mass positive and caller review percentage nonnegative. The tool computes 100 times bag mass divided by body mass and flags a value strictly above the supplied percentage.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| bagKg | Bag kg. Kilograms. | Finite number; zero or greater |
| bodyKg | Body kg. Kilograms. | Finite number; greater than zero |
| callerReviewPercent | Caller review percent. Percentage units; 20 means 20%. | Finite number; zero or greater |
| Output field | Interpretation |
|---|---|
| result | Object containing the following named result fields. |
| result.callerReviewFlag | Caller review flag flag under the exact conditions described above. |

"input": {
"bagKg": 6,
"bodyKg": 40,
"callerReviewPercent": 10
},
"output": {

} Limitations and assumptions
- The ratio does not establish an individual child's safe carrying load. Fit, duration, symptoms, distribution and health circumstances are not evaluated.
- Every declared field is required and unexpected fields are rejected. Numeric inputs must be finite; input errors are distinct from a valid false result or an explicitly qualified output.
- Extremely large inputs and nonfinite or excessively large outputs are rejected. List positions reported by the tool use zero-based indices unless stated otherwise.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Use an assessment method and reference edition that match the task and population. This calculation or supplied record is one part of the evidence; it does not replace observation of the actual work. Compare the scope of the nearby tools below before substituting one.
