Liberty Mutual Pull Force Acceptability Checker

Caller independently applicable pull-force limits, not universal acceptability or injury-safe design.

Description

Check observed pull force against caller-qualified minimum and maximum bounds.

Pull-force acceptability can be screened against bounds obtained from a task-specific handling reference. This checker uses the bounds you supply, rather than containing a Liberty table.

When to use this tool

Check observed pull force against caller-qualified minimum and maximum bounds. Use it when the input measurements and conventions below match the operation you need.

  • Prepare observedPullN, callerMinimum, callerMaximum, respecting the measurement basis and boundaries below.
  • Compare the worked example with your intended operation before reusing its result.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter every field in the input table using the stated units and exact supported selector spelling where applicable.
  2. Run the tool. Correct input errors before interpreting an output.
  3. Read the result fields below; use accompanying flags and the stated sign, boundary or model convention when interpreting a number.

After requiring an ordered minimum and maximum, the tool returns whether observedPullN lies within those caller bounds, including equality.1

Input fieldMeaning and unitsAccepted input
observedPullNObserved pull n. Newtons.Finite number
callerMinimumCaller-supplied lower bound in the same units and measurement basis as observedPullN.Finite number
callerMaximumCaller-supplied upper bound in the same units and measurement basis as observedPullN.Finite number
Output fieldInterpretation
resultObject containing the following named result fields.
result.withinCallerBoundsInclusive comparison with the ordered lower and upper bounds supplied by the caller.

Limitations and assumptions

  • Force type, handle height, travel distance, frequency and population applicability must already match the bounds. Passing the comparison does not establish a safe handling task.
  • Every declared field is required and unexpected fields are rejected. Numeric inputs must be finite; input errors are distinct from a valid false result or an explicitly qualified output.
  • Extremely large inputs and nonfinite or excessively large outputs are rejected. List positions reported by the tool use zero-based indices unless stated otherwise.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use an assessment method and reference edition that match the task and population. This calculation or supplied record is one part of the evidence; it does not replace observation of the actual work. Compare the scope of the nearby tools below before substituting one.
