Description
Attach a declared access-permission status to an evidence identifier.
Evidence records distinguish claims, source origins, confidence labels, logical scope and access status. Repeated citations may share an origin rather than provide independent support; an unknown origin is not proof of independence. A recorded support or witness link does not establish entailment, truth or a valid inference.
Attach a declared access-permission status to an evidence identifier.
When to use this tool
Use Evidence Access Permission Status Tag when checking the stated evidence, source, confidence or logical-label convention.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter evidenceId, accessStatus. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read label. Use the output convention below.
Require nonempty evidenceId and accessStatus public, permission-required, restricted or unknown. Format evidenceId [status].1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| evidenceId | Evidence Id | Required. Text; minimum UTF-16 length 1; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
| accessStatus | Recorded access status; public access is not permission to reproduce content. | Required. Text; one of "public", "permission-required", "restricted", "unknown"; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| label | Formatted supplied record wording; no independent validation of its substantive meaning. | Required. Text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
{
"input": {
"evidenceId": "E17",
"accessStatus": "restricted"
},
"output": {
"label": "E17 [restricted]"
}
} Limitations and assumptions
- An access label does not grant permission or establish a reuse license; source accessibility and authorization are not verified.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Inspect original evidence and use appropriate complete logical/statistical analysis, preserving uncertainty, provenance and applicable access/reuse permissions.
