Restoration Bond Refund Share Tool

Calculate restoration bond refund share from explicit caller-supplied inputs.

Description

Return grossEntitlement = bond*acceptedFraction and remainingRefund = grossEntitlement-retainedCosts-refunded.

Environmental payment and credit arithmetic depends on eligibility, allocation, withholding and sign conventions. A supplied verification flag or accounting label does not establish that a payment, permit or credit is legally valid or actually available.

Return grossEntitlement = bond*acceptedFraction and remainingRefund = grossEntitlement-retainedCosts-refunded.

When to use this tool

Use Restoration Bond Refund Share when checking a specified allocation, charge or payment balance.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter bond, acceptedFraction, retainedCosts, refunded. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read grossEntitlement, remainingRefund. Use the output convention below.

Require nonnegative bond, retainedCosts and refunded and acceptedFraction in [0,1]. Return grossEntitlement = bond*acceptedFraction and remainingRefund = grossEntitlement-retainedCosts-refunded. Use a common currency unit.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • The output name grossEntitlement labels the formula rather than an adjudicated legal right. Negative remainingRefund is preserved; costs and earlier refunds are not capped or validated against a bond agreement.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Review the applicable agreement or program rules and reconcile the full ledger before treating a calculated amount as payable or saleable.
