Description
Label a supplied hormone-assay detection-limit convention.
Endocrine records distinguish specimen matrices, assay methods, unit bases, reference editions and sampling clocks. A printed significant-digit count differs from numerical rounding, while a fasting label is a reported state rather than verified preparation. Image axes and result labels organize supplied observations without deriving hormone physiology or clinical interpretation.
Label a supplied hormone-assay detection-limit convention.
When to use this tool
Use Hormone Test Detection Limit Token when you already have limit, unit, belowLimit and need to label a supplied hormone-assay detection-limit convention.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter limit, unit, belowLimit. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read token. Use the output convention below.
Require limit>=0 and unit nonempty; prefix the boundary with < when belowLimit=true, otherwise limit.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| limit | Limit | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| unit | Unit | Required. Text; minimum UTF-16 length 1; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
| belowLimit | Select a printed < boundary when true; no numeric result is compared. | Required. Boolean. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| token | Token | Required. Text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- This records a supplied censoring label rather than comparing a result or imputing its value. Detection limit is not automatically a clinical threshold.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Reconcile the laboratory report, specimen and method information, reference source and collection timeline before comparing results. Use the complete appropriate assessment for a clinical question; one clock correction, diameter ratio or recorded status does not provide it.
