Description
Measure a signed dynamic-test sample offset in seconds.
Endocrine records distinguish specimen matrices, assay methods, unit bases, reference editions and sampling clocks. A printed significant-digit count differs from numerical rounding, while a fasting label is a reported state rather than verified preparation. Image axes and result labels organize supplied observations without deriving hormone physiology or clinical interpretation.
Measure a signed dynamic-test sample offset in seconds.
When to use this tool
Use Endocrine Dynamic Test Time Offset when you already have sampleTimestampSeconds, referenceTimestampSeconds and need to measure a signed dynamic-test sample offset in seconds.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter sampleTimestampSeconds, referenceTimestampSeconds. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read offsetSeconds. Use the output convention below.
Return sampleTimestampSeconds-referenceTimestampSeconds.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| sampleTimestampSeconds | Sample Timestamp Seconds | Required. Finite number. |
| referenceTimestampSeconds | Reference Timestamp Seconds | Required. Finite number. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| offsetSeconds | Offset Seconds | Required. Finite number. |
{
"input": {
"sampleTimestampSeconds": 1600,
"referenceTimestampSeconds": 1000
},
"output": {
"offsetSeconds": 600
}
} Limitations and assumptions
- Timestamps must share a clock basis. No time origin, timezone, intervention time, sampling protocol or clinical response is determined.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Reconcile the laboratory report, specimen and method information, reference source and collection timeline before comparing results. Use the complete appropriate assessment for a clinical question; one clock correction, diameter ratio or recorded status does not provide it.
