Quoted Printable Equals Sign Token Tool

Compute quoted printable equals sign token from explicit bounded inputs.

Description

Require symbol exactly = and return token =3D.

Quoted-printable body encoding represents selected octets with equals-sign hexadecimal escapes and treats line endings and trailing whitespace specially. Fixing one escape or trailing run does not perform all MIME body transformations.

Require symbol exactly = and return token =3D.

When to use this tool

Use Quoted Printable Equals Sign Token when checking one quoted-printable literal or trailing-whitespace transformation.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter symbol. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read token. Use the output convention below.

Require symbol exactly = and return token =3D.1

Quoted-printable has specific escape and trailing-whitespace rules. This transformation covers only the stated fragment, not complete MIME body encoding.2

Limitations and assumptions

  • This emits one quoted-printable escape, not a full encoder or decoder; MIME encoded-word Q and body quoted-printable have different additional rules.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use a complete MIME body encoder when byte conversion, line-length limits and soft line breaks matter.
