Description
Return token + when space is true, otherwise %2B.
URL-related escapes are octet representations whose interpretation depends on the component and media type. A percent triplet and form-data plus sign do not have interchangeable space rules in every URL context.
Return token + when space is true, otherwise %2B.
When to use this tool
Use Form Urlencoded Space Plus Token when checking one octet escape or form-data space/plus convention.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter space. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read token. Use the output convention below.
Return token + when space is true, otherwise %2B. The boolean distinguishes an encoded ASCII space from an encoded literal plus in form data.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| space | Space | Required. Boolean. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| token | Token | Required. Text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
{
"input": {
"space": true
},
"output": {
"token": "+"
}
} Limitations and assumptions
- This is one application/x-www-form-urlencoded token choice, not generic URL path escaping or a whole form encoder.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Use a full component-appropriate URL or form encoder for Unicode text and complete request data.
