Description
Calculate one simulation action’s duration share after excluding supplied action labels.
Simulation action shares depend on which labels are selected and which are excluded. Duration assigned to a task is a record summary rather than proof of correct execution, appropriate care or training competence.
Calculate one simulation action’s duration share after excluding supplied action labels.
When to use this tool
Use Simulation Action Duration Share when summarizing selected-action time inside an explicit eligibility mask.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter actionLabels, durations, selectedAction, excludedActions. Keep parallel arrays aligned. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read eligibleDuration, selectedDuration, share, defined. Inspect defined before interpreting the associated values.
Require equally long actionLabels and nonnegative durations. eligibleDuration sums actions not in excludedActions; selectedDuration additionally requires the label to equal selectedAction. share is their ratio when positive, otherwise zero with defined = false.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| actionLabels | Action Labels | Required. Array of text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192; maximum items 256. |
| durations | Durations | Required. Array of finite number; minimum 0; maximum items 256. |
| selectedAction | Selected Action | Required. Text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
| excludedActions | Excluded Actions | Required. Array of text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192; maximum items 256. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| eligibleDuration | Eligible Duration | Required. Finite number. |
| selectedDuration | Selected Duration | Required. Finite number. |
| share | Dimensionless selected contribution divided by the stated total; not percent. | Required. Finite number. |
| defined | Whether the stated denominator has positive support; read this before interpreting a zero placeholder. | Required. Boolean. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- An excluded selected action contributes nothing. Labels and exclusions are literal supplied records, not clinical quality or completeness assessments; overlapping durations are not detected.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Review the original training observations and assessment rubric rather than treating a duration share as a competence decision.
