Description
Calculate a recorded compression-duty fraction in a training cycle.
Emergency records distinguish event clocks, retrospective entry times, equipment dates, encounter identifiers and recorded triage or laboratory states. A supplied time gap is not a verified performance measure, and a recorded seal expiry does not establish equipment readiness. Simulation duty fractions and role labels describe training records rather than emergency-care instructions.
Calculate a recorded compression-duty fraction in a training cycle.
When to use this tool
Use Resuscitation Training Compression Duty Fraction when you already have compressionSeconds, trainingCycleSeconds and need to calculate a recorded compression-duty fraction in a training cycle.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter compressionSeconds, trainingCycleSeconds. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read fraction, remainder. Use the output convention below.
Require trainingCycleSeconds positive/finite and compressionSeconds in [0,cycle]; return compression/cycle and cycle-compression.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| compressionSeconds | Compression Seconds | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| trainingCycleSeconds | Training Cycle Seconds | Required. Finite number; strictly above 0. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| fraction | Supplied compression seconds/cycle seconds in [0,1]; not compressions/minute or a real-care recommendation. | Required. Finite number. |
| remainder | Remainder | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- This is a supplied simulation time fraction, not a compression rate, resuscitation-quality assessment or instruction for actual emergency care.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Review the actual event, equipment and laboratory records with verified timing and the complete clinical workflow. Treat local flags and interval arithmetic as record checks; they do not supply triage, response protocols, safe staffing or an assessment of a real emergency.
