Description

Label a supplied choice's one-based position within a recorded question.

Educational records need explicit score maxima, optional-criterion policy, timing allowances, choice positions and group capacities. Optional points and their maxima must use the same inclusion rule. Nominal seat counts and supplied extension fractions do not establish actual accessibility, attendance, appropriate support or assessment fairness.

Label a supplied choice's one-based position within a recorded question.

When to use this tool

Use Question Choice Position Display Label when you already have questionId, oneBasedChoicePosition, choiceCount and need to label a supplied choice's one-based position within a recorded question.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter questionId, oneBasedChoicePosition, choiceCount. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read label. Use the output convention below.

Require questionId nonempty, choiceCount positive safe whole and position in [1,choiceCount]; append choice position of count.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • No choices are inspected, shuffled, scored or verified as belonging to the question.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Review the complete rubric, course and accommodation policy, schedule and actual classroom arrangement for operational decisions. Work with the full records when scoring, grouping or access matters beyond one supplied count, tag comparison or time allowance.
