Description
Compute each fine-metal value and valueRatio = silverValue/goldValue.
Coin mass, fine-metal content, face value and market value are different historical quantities. Weight and fineness can yield metal content, but metal ratios alone do not establish official standards, authenticity or purchasing power.
Compute each fine-metal value and valueRatio = silverValue/goldValue.
When to use this tool
Use Silver Gold Parity Caller Unit when checking supplied coin or precious-metal quantities.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter silverFineMass, goldFineMass, silverPricePerMass, goldPricePerMass. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read silverValue, goldValue, valueRatio. Use the output convention below.
Require nonnegative silverFineMass and silverPricePerMass and positive goldFineMass and goldPricePerMass. Compute each fine-metal value and valueRatio = silverValue/goldValue.1

| goldFineMass | Gold Fine Mass | Required. Finite number; strictly above 0. |
| silverPricePerMass | Silver Price Per Mass | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| goldPricePerMass | Gold Price Per Mass | Required. Finite number; strictly above 0. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| silverValue | Silver Value | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- Prices share a currency and each mass matches its price denominator. The ratio is a supplied-price comparison, not an official bimetallic parity or historical market quotation.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Use appropriate archival and numismatic evidence for denomination, assay, legal standard and historical market interpretation.
