Description
Separate familiarization from scored task time under a supplied policy.
Developmental task timing and coded sequences need a common clock and explicit rules for exclusions, adjacency and response windows. A delay, duration share or transition rate is descriptive rather than a measure of developmental status.
Separate familiarization from scored task time under a supplied policy.
When to use this tool
Use Task Familiarization Time Credit when checking a supplied task-time or coded-sequence convention.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter totalTime, familiarization, includeFamiliarization. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read scoredTime, excludedTime. Use the output convention below.
Separate familiarization from scored task time under a supplied policy. Require 0 <= familiarization <= totalTime; exclude it unless includeFamiliarization, returning scoredTime and excludedTime.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| totalTime | Total Time | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| familiarization | Familiarization | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| includeFamiliarization | Include Familiarization | Required. Boolean. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| scoredTime | Scored Time | Required. Finite number. |
| excludedTime | Excluded Time | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- This is time bookkeeping, not a validated scoring or familiarization protocol.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
