Developmental Task Demonstration Count Tool

Count explicit demonstration flags in a supplied developmental-task event list without judging learning.

Description

Count supplied demonstration flags and total recorded events.

Developmental research records separate actual observations, coder presence, task versions, response states, caregiver reports and exposure counts. Calendar age differs from developmental status, while a symbol match or parent-teacher rating gap is only a recorded comparison. Pseudonyms and supplied source labels do not themselves protect identity or validate evidence.

Count supplied demonstration flags and total recorded events.

When to use this tool

Use Developmental Task Demonstration Count when you already have demonstrationFlags and need to count supplied demonstration flags and total recorded events.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter demonstrationFlags. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read demonstrations, totalEvents. Use the output convention below.

Return the number of true flags and the array length; an empty list gives two zeros.1

Input fieldMeaning and unitsAccepted input

Limitations and assumptions

  • No demonstrations are observed or evaluated. Event count alone does not establish exposure dose, learning, comprehension or developmental ability.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use the complete study or assessment method, observation records and context for developmental interpretation. Review task adaptations, reporter perspectives and data protection together; local counts, time gaps and status labels do not establish ability, diagnosis or suitable support.
