Description
Return vocabulary-checklist shares with an explicit unknown policy.
Developmental research records may encode task eligibility, known responses, observer roles and withdrawal. A flag or support share describes supplied observations and does not independently assess a child, verify consent or establish a clinical interpretation.
Return vocabulary-checklist shares with an explicit unknown policy.
When to use this tool
Use Child Vocabulary Checklist Unknown Denominator when checking explicit developmental-study record and observation rules.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter known, absent, unknown, includeUnknown. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read denominator, knownFraction, unknownFraction. Use the output convention below.
Return vocabulary-checklist shares with an explicit unknown policy. Require nonnegative whole known/absent/unknown and known+absent > 0; knownFraction uses the selected denominator, while unknownFraction always uses all three counts.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| known | Whether the supplied value has the stated known observation or vocabulary status. | Required. Safe integer; minimum 0. |
| absent | Absent | Required. Safe integer; minimum 0. |
| unknown | Unknown | Required. Safe integer; minimum 0. |
| includeUnknown | Include Unknown | Required. Boolean. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| denominator | Known plus absent, adding unknown only when includeUnknown is true. | Required. Safe integer. |
| knownFraction | Known Fraction | Required. Finite number. |
| unknownFraction | Unknown Fraction | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- An entirely unknown checklist is rejected; supplied categories do not assess language ability.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
