Child Research Withdrawal Censor Time Tool

Follow-up duration under caller-identified withdrawal, without interpreting consent or retention obligations.

Description

Return observed study time with optional withdrawal censoring.

Developmental research records may encode task eligibility, known responses, observer roles and withdrawal. A flag or support share describes supplied observations and does not independently assess a child, verify consent or establish a clinical interpretation.

Return observed study time with optional withdrawal censoring.

When to use this tool

Use Child Research Withdrawal Censor Time when checking explicit developmental-study record and observation rules.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter entryDay, plannedEndDay, withdrawalDay, withdrew. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read endDay, observedDays, censored. Inspect censored before interpreting the associated values.

Return observed study time with optional withdrawal censoring. Require plannedEndDay >= entryDay and withdrawalDay >= entry when withdrew; endDay is the earlier planned/withdrawal end, and censored requires withdrawal strictly before planned end.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Withdrawal at planned end is not censored here; no consent validity or survival estimator is provided.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use an approved study protocol and appropriate professional assessment for participant decisions, developmental interpretation or clinical questions.
