Child Age Testing Date Offset

Count chronological Gregorian calendar days from an explicit birth date to a testing date without applying age corrections or developmental norms.

Description

Calculate recorded age in elapsed calendar days on a testing date.

Developmental research records separate actual observations, coder presence, task versions, response states, caregiver reports and exposure counts. Calendar age differs from developmental status, while a symbol match or parent-teacher rating gap is only a recorded comparison. Pseudonyms and supplied source labels do not themselves protect identity or validate evidence.

Calculate recorded age in elapsed calendar days on a testing date.

When to use this tool

Use Child Age Testing Date Offset when you already have birthDate, testingDate and need to calculate recorded age in elapsed calendar days on a testing date.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter birthDate, testingDate. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read ageDays. Use the output convention below.

Parse real UTC YYYY-MM-DD dates, require testingDate>=birthDate, and divide their midnight difference by 86400000.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Birth date itself gives zero; no inclusive-day addition, gestational correction, developmental age, readiness or test suitability is inferred.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use the complete study or assessment method, observation records and context for developmental interpretation. Review task adaptations, reporter perspectives and data protection together; local counts, time gaps and status labels do not establish ability, diagnosis or suitable support.
