Git Config Boolean Implicit True Token Tool

Calculate git config boolean implicit true token from explicit caller-supplied inputs.

Description

Interpret an explicit Git config boolean token.

Build and configuration formats have dialect-specific quoting, whitespace and escaping rules. A local prefix or character transformation handles only the declared fragment, leaving full parsing, evaluation and precedence to the consuming implementation.

Interpret an explicit Git config boolean token.

When to use this tool

Use Git Config Boolean Implicit True Token when inspecting the stated text or configuration fragment.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter value, hasEquals. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read value. Inspect value before interpreting the associated values.

Interpret an explicit Git config boolean token. Without equals require empty value and return true; with equals accept case-insensitive true/yes/on/1 or false/no/off/0, with empty value interpreted false.1

Input fieldMeaning and unitsAccepted input
valueInput is a bounded boolean spelling; output is its parsed boolean under hasEquals.Required. Text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192.
hasEqualsWhether the assignment explicitly contained equals; absence with empty value implies true.Required. Boolean.
Output fieldInterpretationReturned shape
valueInput is a bounded boolean spelling; output is its parsed boolean under hasEquals.Required. Boolean.

Limitations and assumptions

  • Whitespace is not trimmed and other numeric forms are rejected; config files are not read.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use the appropriate full parser and actual configuration context for reliable interpretation or application.
