Oral Surface Unobserved Share Tool

Deduplicate explicitly eligible research surfaces and count those with no observation.

Description

Return distinct eligible oral-surface observation support.

Oral-health records may contain surface identifiers, annotation support, inventory or image calibration. Local count and balance rules do not verify observations, define an appropriate hygiene practice or establish a dental diagnosis.

Return distinct eligible oral-surface observation support.

When to use this tool

Use Oral Surface Unobserved Share when checking the stated oral-health record or measurement convention.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter surfaceIds, observed, eligible. Keep parallel arrays aligned. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read eligibleSurfaces, unobservedSurfaces, unobservedShare, defined. Inspect defined before interpreting the associated values.

Return distinct eligible oral-surface observation support. Require aligned IDs/flags; deduplicate eligible IDs and observed eligible IDs; unobservedShare is their count difference divided by eligible count, or zero with defined = false.1

Input fieldMeaning and unitsAccepted input
surfaceIdsSurface IdsRequired. Array of text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192; maximum items 256.
observedObservedRequired. Array of boolean; maximum items 256.
eligibleEligibleRequired. Array of boolean; maximum items 256.
Output fieldInterpretationReturned shape
eligibleSurfacesEligible SurfacesRequired. Safe integer.
unobservedSurfacesUnobserved SurfacesRequired. Safe integer.
unobservedShareDistinct eligible surfaces never marked observed in an eligible record, divided by eligible surfaces; zero when undefined.Required. Finite number.
definedWhether the stated denominator is nonzero; inspect this before using the associated ratio.Required. Boolean.

Limitations and assumptions

  • One observed eligible duplicate supports that ID; conflicting records and clinical validity are not resolved.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use the relevant charting protocol and professional dental guidance for clinical interpretation, care and individual recommendations.
