Canon Offset Counts Planner
Plan actual caller nonuniform canon entry offsets and explicit motif durations against available phrase counts; no generic equal-spacing repetitions or invented dancer-delay aesthetic.
Description
Canon entries may have unequal offsets.
Canon entries may have unequal offsets. Each entry receives the full declared motif duration.1
Enter 1–128 nonnegative nondecreasing entry offsets, positive motif duration and nonnegative available counts. Return intervals, latest end and strict-over-phrase indexes.
When to use Canon Offset Counts Planner
Use Canon Offset Counts Planner when you need to evaluate the supplied records under the calculation and evidence rules below. No equal-spacing aesthetic, generic repetitions or dancer-readiness inference is supplied.
Prepare the annotated dance, timing, rehearsal or inventory records requested. Supply caller rules, evidence flags and local reference values; distinguish beats, bars, counts and seconds.
How to use Canon Offset Counts Planner and understand its results
- Prepare the annotated dance, timing, rehearsal or inventory records requested. Supply caller rules, evidence flags and local reference values; distinguish beats, bars, counts and seconds.
- Enter callerDancerEntryOffsetCounts, callerMotifDurationCounts, callerAvailablePhraseCounts using the field table and calculation rules, then run the tool.
- Read plannedMotifCountIntervals, latestMotifEndCount, entriesExceedingCallerPhraseIndices. The explanation below defines the units, signs, ordering and any flags or placeholder values.
- If the tool reports an input issue, correct the values and run it again. Apply the stated assumptions when interpreting a successfully returned result.
| Input field | Meaning | Value type; see rules below | Requirement |
|---|---|---|---|
| callerDancerEntryOffsetCounts | Caller dancer entry offset counts | list of number | Required |
| callerMotifDurationCounts | Caller motif duration counts | number | Required |
| callerAvailablePhraseCounts | Caller available phrase counts | number | Required |
Enter 1–128 nonnegative nondecreasing entry offsets, positive motif duration and nonnegative available counts. Return intervals, latest end and strict-over-phrase indexes.
interval=[entryOffset, entryOffset+motifDuration] Units, indexing, boundary conditions and exceptional cases are defined in the calculation rules above.
| Output field | Meaning | Value type |
|---|---|---|
| plannedMotifCountIntervals | Planned motif count intervals | list of list of number |
| latestMotifEndCount | Latest motif end count | number |
| entriesExceedingCallerPhraseIndices | Entries exceeding caller phrase indices | list of number |

} Limitations and assumptions
No equal-spacing aesthetic, generic repetitions or dancer-readiness inference is supplied.
Numeric inputs, where present, must be finite. Follow the calculation-specific rules for overflow, underflow and exceptional cases. Numeric lists are limited to 10,000 entries; string lists to 128 strings of at most 128 characters each. The rules above may impose smaller limits. Missing required fields, extra fields, wrong value types and violations of the calculation rules are input errors.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Use Mirror Unison vs Canonical Delay Lookup: Paired choreography has independent spatial and temporal relations. Mirroring can coexist with delayed or variable timing. For a complementary task, use Motif Development Retrograde Augment Inversion Lookup: Motif transformations can change event order, lateral signs and durations independently. Event retrograde differs from reversing a physical trajectory.
