Description

Classify responseCode as missing, recognized, or unknown-code by exact equality and membership.

Source-scoped cultural and historical records preserve an edition, naming convention, or local identifier. Literal agreement is useful bookkeeping but does not establish interpretation, authenticity, or authority.

Limitations and assumptions

  • Missing is a distinct supplied code, not automatically blank or false; no cultural identity, response meaning, normalization, or imputation is inferred.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
