Onset Age Escalation Severity Checker

Actual ordered event-age/severity sequence first/last discrepancy under independent rubric. No causal onset/escalation or future dangerousness inference; not all earlier unrecorded events observed.

Description

An observed onset age is the first event age in a recorded sequence.

An observed onset age is the first event age in a recorded sequence.1

First-to-last severity change depends on a caller-defined scale and does not establish a developmental trajectory. Use this tool to calculate the stated observation or conditional model from supplied measurements.

When to use Onset Age Escalation Severity Checker

Use this tool to calculate the stated observation or conditional model from supplied measurements. Establish the jurisdiction or research scope, observation and event definitions, reference date, matched period and denominator basis.

How to use Onset Age Escalation Severity Checker and understand its results

  1. Establish the jurisdiction or research scope, observation and event definitions, reference date, matched period and denominator basis.
  2. Enter independentlyVerifiedEventAges, callerCalibratedSeverityScores, using the field meanings and rules below, then run the tool.
  3. Read result.observedOnsetAge, result.signedFirstLastSeverityChange. Interpret each field using the units, signs and evidence rules below.
  4. If input validation fails, correct the reported field and run again. Before applying a successful result, check the stated reference scope, units, assumptions and any retained unknown evidence.
Input fieldMeaningValue typeRequirement
independentlyVerifiedEventAgesIndependently verified event ageslist of numberRequired
callerCalibratedSeverityScoresCaller calibrated severity scoreslist of numberRequired

Require at least two aligned event-age and severity lists. Ages must be nonnegative and strictly increasing; scores nonnegative finite. Return the first age and last-minus-first severity score. Fractional ages and signed changes are accepted; no regression or intermediate trend classification is performed.

onsetAge=first(eventAges); severityChange=last(scores)−first(scores)

Apply the field units and exact ordering, boundary and evidence rules above.

Limitations and assumptions

First-to-last severity change depends on a caller-defined scale and does not establish a developmental trajectory. Results depend on the independently established measurement basis and the exact model assumptions above.

Every listed input requires an explicit value. Unexpected fields, incorrect value types, nonfinite numbers and sparse numeric arrays fail validation; tool-specific bounds and alignment rules apply as described above. Extremely large inputs or outputs can also be rejected. An input error is distinct from a successful calculation that reports a false comparison or retains unknown evidence.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use Moffitt Typology Life Course Classifier to examine a related aspect: Moffitt's developmental typology distinguishes research patterns across life stages.

Use Age Crime Curve Peak Age Lookup where its separate inputs and scope apply: An age-crime peak summarizes rates in an adopted set of age bands.
