Description
Sum supplied unique cash-pool participant balances and their positive/negative parts.
Corporate finance calculations require consistent accounting periods, currencies, share bases and contract definitions. Restricted cash differs from available cash, a discount fraction depends on its denominator, and a debt or reserve balance is a bookkeeping relation. Supplied cash flows and rates describe scenarios rather than verified accounts or investment outcomes.
Sum supplied unique cash-pool participant balances and their positive/negative parts.
When to use this tool
Use Treasury Cash Pool Signed Participant Balance when you already have participantCodes, balances and need to sum supplied unique cash-pool participant balances and their positive/negative parts.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter participantCodes, balances. Follow any array-alignment requirements below. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read netPoolBalance, positiveBalances, negativeBalanceMagnitude. Use the output convention below.
Require equal-length arrays and unique participant codes; return total signed balance, sum of positive balances and sum of negative magnitudes.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| participantCodes | Unique literal codes aligned with balances; an empty code is allowed if unique. | Required. Array of text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192; maximum items 256. |
| balances | Balances | Required. Array of finite number; maximum items 256. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| netPoolBalance | Net Pool Balance | Required. Finite number. |
| positiveBalances | Positive Balances | Required. Finite number. |
| negativeBalanceMagnitude | Positive magnitude of negative balances, separate from their signed sum. | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- Empty arrays return zeros and empty participant codes are accepted if unique. No ownership, restricted cash, currency, netting, tax or actual pool position is verified.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Reconcile actual statements, financing agreements, cap tables and cash-flow forecasts. Use full contractual terms and appropriate valuation or accounting methods when a local balance, fraction or present-value term cannot answer the financial question.
