Description

Return post-issue share count and retained ownership factor.

Corporate-finance calculations depend on currency, period, share class, contractual definitions and tax assumptions. A local balance or ownership factor reconciles supplied amounts without determining a complete valuation, financing outcome, enforceable right or applicable tax treatment.

Return post-issue share count and retained ownership factor.

When to use this tool

Use Dilution Instrument Share Factor when checking one supplied corporate cash-flow, share, repayment or notice convention.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter existingShares, additionalShares. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read postIssueShares, retainedOwnershipFactor. Use the output convention below.

Limitations and assumptions

  • This is a uniform-share count model, without voting classes, option exercise, investor participation or valuation effects.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use complete financial records, governing transaction documents and qualified financial, tax or legal advice for actual decisions and obligations.
