Flooring Acclimation Time Calculator
Caller explicit in-band moisture hold witnessed between consecutive actual samples, no sub-sample/unsampled hold guarantee, manufacturer installation readiness external. Caller independently establishes units, regime, calibration and applicability; this does not establish design-code compliance, authenticity, operational safety, treatment efficacy or a validated forecast.
Description
Flooring acclimation observations can witness a run within a specified moisture band.
Flooring acclimation observations can witness a run within a specified moisture band.1
Discrete measurements do not establish what happened between samples or prescribe installation readiness. Use Flooring Acclimation Time Calculator to evaluate the supplied inputs under the model explained below.
When to use Flooring Acclimation Time Calculator
Use Flooring Acclimation Time Calculator to evaluate the supplied inputs under the model explained below. Establish the units, measurement scope and model assumptions before entering values.
How to use Flooring Acclimation Time Calculator and understand its results
- Establish the units, measurement scope and model assumptions before entering values.
- Enter Observed acclimation elapsed hours, Observed flooring moisture fractions, Caller verified moisture lower, Caller verified moisture upper, Caller required witnessed hold hours using the field table and validation rules below, then run the tool.
- Read Witnessed qualification start hours, Witnessed qualified hold hours, No witnessed qualifying hold; interpret the units, signs, ordering and unknown-value placeholders described below.
- Correct reported input errors and rerun. Apply successful results according to their specific meanings and check the assumptions before using them in a decision.
| Input field | Meaning | Value type | Requirement |
|---|---|---|---|
| observedAcclimationElapsedHours | Observed acclimation elapsed hours | array of number | Required; constraints below |
| observedFlooringMoistureFractions | Observed flooring moisture fractions | array of number | Required; constraints below |
| callerVerifiedMoistureLower | Caller verified moisture lower | number | Required; constraints below |
| callerVerifiedMoistureUpper | Caller verified moisture upper | number | Required; constraints below |
| callerRequiredWitnessedHoldHours | Caller required witnessed hold hours | number | Required; constraints below |
Enter at least two strictly increasing nonnegative observation times in hours with aligned moisture fractions from 0 to 1, ordered inclusive moisture limits in that range and a nonnegative required hold in hours. Find maximal consecutive runs of in-band samples. A run extends only from its first to its last in-band sample, not to the next out-of-band time. Return starts and durations of runs meeting the hold requirement; a singleton qualifies only for a zero hold. No continuous-time moisture interpolation or between-sample witnessing is added.
qualifyingRun = all recorded samples in band and lastInBandHour−firstInBandHour≥requiredHold Use the field order, units and branch conditions described above.
| Output field | Meaning | Value type |
|---|---|---|
| witnessedQualificationStartHours | Witnessed qualification start hours | array of number |
| witnessedQualifiedHoldHours | Witnessed qualified hold hours | array of number |
| noWitnessedQualifyingHold | No witnessed qualifying hold | boolean |

} Limitations and assumptions
Discrete measurements do not establish what happened between samples or prescribe installation readiness. Apply the exact scope and assumptions explained above.
All listed fields require explicit values. Unexpected fields, incorrect types, nonfinite numbers and sparse arrays fail validation. Domain-specific bounds, alignments and supported tokens are explained above; extremely large inputs or outputs can also be rejected. Input errors differ from successful false results, empty match lists and unknown-evidence placeholders.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Use Efflorescence Risk Checker for a related task: Efflorescence assessment depends on independently measured salt and moisture conditions.
Use Concrete Freeze Thaw Cycles Calculator for a related task: Freeze-thaw counting requires distinct freezing and thawing thresholds and a chosen cycle convention.
