Description
Return one neighborhood's basis-weighted response contribution.
Community projects combine participation counts, access assertions, funding bases and shared-resource policies. Local allocation or coverage arithmetic can organize those records, while equitable access, actual contribution value and valid funding rights require evidence and the applicable rules.
Return one neighborhood's basis-weighted response contribution.
When to use this tool
Use Survey Response Area Weight when checking one explicit community-project capacity, funding, access or scheduling convention.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter responses, neighborhoodBasis, totalBasis, neighborhoodBasisUnit, totalBasisUnit. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read allocationShare, weightedResponses. Use the output convention below.
Return one neighborhood's basis-weighted response contribution. Require whole responses >= 0, totalBasis > 0, neighborhoodBasis within total and matching nonempty basis-unit labels; share = neighborhood/total, weightedResponses = responses*share.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| responses | Responses | Required. Safe integer; minimum 0. |
| neighborhoodBasis | Neighborhood Basis | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| totalBasis | Total Basis | Required. Finite number; strictly above 0. |
| neighborhoodBasisUnit | Neighborhood Basis Unit | Required. Text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
| totalBasisUnit | Total Basis Unit | Required. Text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| allocationShare | Allocation Share | Required. Finite number. |
| weightedResponses | Weighted Responses | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- This is a weighting contribution, not expansion to a population total or proof of representative survey coverage.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Use actual project records, participant needs and governing funding/resource rules to assess practical adequacy, fairness and eligibility.
