Announcement Repeat Interval Exposure Term Tool

Count repeats through the inclusive window end with an explicit announcement-at-start policy.

Description

Count periodic announcement opportunities in a time window.

Communication measurements need an explicit event origin, clock correction, count unit and exposure denominator. Timing and coverage records can be summarized without detecting actual speech, verifying message delivery or determining readability, accessibility or communication quality.

Count periodic announcement opportunities in a time window.

When to use this tool

Use Announcement Repeat Interval Exposure Term when checking the stated communication timing, rate, representation or coverage convention.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter windowSeconds, repeatSeconds, includeAtStart. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read announcements. Use the output convention below.

Count periodic announcement opportunities in a time window. Require windowSeconds >= 0 and repeatSeconds > 0; announcements = floor(window/repeat)+(includeAtStart ? 1 : 0).1

Input fieldMeaning and unitsAccepted input
windowSecondsWindow SecondsRequired. Finite number; minimum 0.
repeatSecondsRepeat SecondsRequired. Finite number; strictly above 0.
includeAtStartInclude At StartRequired. Boolean.
Output fieldInterpretationReturned shape
announcementsPeriodic opportunity count including exact repeat endpoints and optionally time zero.Required. Safe integer.

Limitations and assumptions

  • This includes occurrences on exact repeat endpoints; actual audibility, accessibility and effective message exposure are not established.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use actual synchronized media/message records, appropriate text measurement and user evaluation for complete communication or accessibility assessment.
