Trial Dose Record Unit Only Token Tool

Parse a supplied amount/unit record without dose conversion or regimen advice.

Description

Parse an amount/unit record and report vocabulary permission.

Clinical research distinguishes supplied protocol metadata, participant/event records, allocation bookkeeping and an analysis target. A local count, permission flag or denominator choice can help reconcile records without establishing valid consent, randomization, regulatory compliance or a reliable treatment-effect estimate.

Parse an amount/unit record and report vocabulary permission.

When to use this tool

Use Trial Dose Record Unit Only Token when checking the stated clinical-research record, allocation, timing, analysis or evidence-basis convention.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter amountToken, unitToken, permittedUnits. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read amount, unit, unitPermitted. Inspect unitPermitted before interpreting the associated values.

Parse an amount/unit record and report vocabulary permission. Require canonical nonnegative decimal amountToken with optional fraction and nonempty unitToken; convert amount to finite number, preserve unit and test membership in permittedUnits.1

Input fieldMeaning and unitsAccepted input
amountTokenCanonical nonnegative decimal text with optional fractional part; scientific notation, plus signs and leading integer zeros are rejected.Required. Text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192.
unitTokenLiteral unit label, without automatic unit conversion or semantic verification.Required. Text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192.
permittedUnitsPermitted UnitsRequired. Array of text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192; maximum items 256.
Output fieldInterpretationReturned shape
amountAmountRequired. Finite number.
unitUnitRequired. Text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192.
unitPermittedLiteral vocabulary membership; false is a successful record result, not a dose-safety assessment.Required. Boolean.

Limitations and assumptions

  • This does not convert units, validate medicine dosing or recommend administration; an unpermitted unit returns false rather than rejecting the record.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use the complete approved protocol, authenticated source records and qualified clinical/statistical oversight for actual trial design, conduct and interpretation.
