Description
Check a supplied trial-record date against a cutoff policy.
Trial records distinguish protocol labels, participant events, supply balances and cutoff policies. An inclusive cutoff differs from an exclusive one, and a drug-accountability balance does not establish adherence or a suitable dose. Supplied consent and observation states are not independently verified by a local calculation.
Check a supplied trial-record date against a cutoff policy.
When to use this tool
Use Trial Data Cutoff Inclusion Flag when you already have recordDate, cutoffDate, includeCutoffDate and need to check a supplied trial-record date against a cutoff policy.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter recordDate, cutoffDate, includeCutoffDate. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read includedByDatePolicy. Inspect includedByDatePolicy before interpreting the associated values.
Parse real UTC dates; include equality when includeCutoffDate=true, otherwise require recordDate<cutoffDate.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| recordDate | Record Date | Required. Text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. Real proleptic Gregorian YYYY-MM-DD; four-digit years 0000-9999 accepted. |
| cutoffDate | Cutoff Date | Required. Text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. Real proleptic Gregorian YYYY-MM-DD; four-digit years 0000-9999 accepted. |
| includeCutoffDate | True includes date equality; false requires a strictly earlier record date. | Required. Boolean. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |

| includedByDatePolicy | Included By Date Policy | Required. Boolean. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- This is a date-level policy only. No actual availability, protocol eligibility, data quality, within-day timing or analysis-population membership is verified.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Check the controlled protocol, source records, accountability logs and applicable oversight requirements. Use the full trial workflow and analysis for participant or study decisions; local date comparisons and labels do not determine safety, eligibility or treatment.
