Child Task Assisted Response Token Tool

Separate explicitly assisted, independent and missing research responses without assigning developmental ability.

Loading tool…

Description

Classify a supplied child-task response by missing and assistance flags.

Developmental-study observations use explicit trial, age, stimulus and missing-data conventions. Counterbalance flags and observation shares describe supplied research records; they do not establish actual stimulus presentation, an age correction appropriate for clinical use or a developmental assessment.

Classify a supplied child-task response by missing and assistance flags.

When to use this tool

Use Child Task Assisted Response Token when checking the stated child-study observation, timing or record convention.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter response, assisted, missingToken. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read category. Use the output convention below.

Classify a supplied child-task response by missing and assistance flags. Exact response equality to missingToken takes precedence; otherwise return assisted-response when assisted, independent-response when false.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Literal labels and assistance are supplied; this does not score ability, response correctness or appropriate task support.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Review the study protocol, actual observations and consent/assent records; use validated assessment and qualified professional judgment for developmental or care decisions.
