Internal Invoice Cost Center Split

Split a supplied signed internal invoice amount using an explicit cost-center allocation fraction.

Description

Split a supplied signed invoice by an allocation fraction.

Administrative records depend on policy dates, authorization scope, attendance denominators and accounting definitions. A calendar-date shift does not skip holidays, a quorum fraction is not a quorum decision, and a weighted voting fraction differs from economic ownership. Recorded signatory presence does not authenticate a signature or establish authority.

Split a supplied signed invoice by an allocation fraction.

When to use this tool

Use Internal Invoice Cost Center Split when you already have invoiceAmount, allocatedFraction and need to split a supplied signed invoice by an allocation fraction.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter invoiceAmount, allocatedFraction. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read allocatedAmount, remainingAmount. Use the output convention below.

Require fraction in [0,1]; return invoice*fraction and invoice*(1-fraction).1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Negative invoices are accepted. No invoice, cost center, eligibility, allocation rule, tax or accounting entry is verified.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Check controlled policies, meeting records, contracts and account definitions. Apply the complete applicable rules when actual approval, payment or governance matters; local version selection and arithmetic do not make those determinations.
