Description
Calculate a supplied carried-liquid solute amount from concentration.
Biotechnology records distinguish sample and run identifiers, assay observations, replicate positions and quantity bases. Row-major indexing needs an explicit origin, and a wet-to-dry mass factor is the inverse of a dry-mass fraction. Supplied labels and scalar ratios do not validate an assay, establish identity or demonstrate biological performance.

When to use this tool
Use Purification Pool Salt Carry Volume when you already have carriedLiquidVolume, suppliedSaltConcentration and need to calculate a supplied carried-liquid solute amount from concentration.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter carriedLiquidVolume, suppliedSaltConcentration. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read carriedSaltAmount. Use the output convention below.
Require carriedLiquidVolume/suppliedSaltConcentration>=0; multiply them.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| carriedLiquidVolume | Carried Liquid Volume | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| suppliedSaltConcentration | Supplied Salt Concentration | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| carriedSaltAmount | Carried Salt Amount | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- Concentration's volume denominator must match the supplied volume. No salt identity, actual carryover, purification, procedure or suitable composition is inferred.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Review original sample, instrument and assay records with the full calibration and experimental method. Check units, index conventions and source provenance before combining local results into an interpretation.
