Description
Return one survival factor under a tied censor/event order.
Biostatistical terms depend on a declared observation unit, exposure denominator, event order and sampling design. A risk-set flag, paired discordance contribution or support-weight ratio can be computed locally without fitting a survival model, establishing a treatment effect or validating an inferential analysis.
Return one survival factor under a tied censor/event order.
When to use this tool
Use Survival Tie Censor Order Token when checking the stated exposure, event, matched-pair or cluster-support convention.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter events, censors, riskBefore, eventFirst. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read eventDenominator, survivalFactor. Use the output convention below.
Return one survival factor under a tied censor/event order. Require bounded whole riskBefore/events/censors; eventDenominator = riskBefore when eventFirst, otherwise subtract censors; require positive denominator unless no events, then survivalFactor = one, otherwise 1-events/denominator.1

| censors | Censors | Required. Safe integer; minimum 0. |
| riskBefore | Risk Before | Required. Safe integer; minimum 1. |
| eventFirst | Event First | Required. Boolean. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| eventDenominator | riskBefore for eventFirst, otherwise riskBefore-censors. | Required. Safe integer. |
| survivalFactor | Survival Factor | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- The tie policy is supplied; this is one product-limit factor, not a complete survival estimate or a justified censoring model.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Analyze complete verified data with a method appropriate to the design and censoring assumptions; assess uncertainty and consult qualified statistical and clinical professionals for health conclusions.
