Remediation Flow Weighted Concentration Term Tool

Calculate remediation flow weighted concentration term from explicit caller-supplied inputs.

Loading tool…

Description

Return volume-weighted concentration from supplied samples.

Environmental-remediation bookkeeping uses explicit water, soil, dry-mass, concentration and sampling bases. A local mass residual, censored-result bound or supplied target margin does not identify a removal mechanism, establish representativeness or determine an environmentally acceptable contaminant level.

Return volume-weighted concentration from supplied samples.

When to use this tool

Use Remediation Flow Weighted Concentration Term when checking the stated remediation measurement, mass/volume balance or support convention.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter concentrations, volumes. Follow any array-alignment requirements below. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read totalVolume, weightedConcentration. Use the output convention below.

Return volume-weighted concentration from supplied samples. Require aligned nonnegative concentrations/volumes and positive total volume; totalVolume sums volumes, weightedConcentration = sum(C*V)/sum(V).1

Limitations and assumptions

  • This assumes compatible concentration bases and representative mixing; no flow history, analytical quality or safe concentration is determined.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use verified sampling and analytical data, consistent material/unit bases and a complete transport or treatment model; involve qualified environmental professionals for practical or regulatory decisions.
