Description
Return dry mass and background-adjusted load.
Remediation measurements depend on sample identity, analytical method, moisture basis and monitoring effort. A blank correction, record match or treatment/control contrast can reconcile supplied values while actual contaminant removal, representative sampling and treatment effectiveness require a complete environmental assessment.
Return dry mass and background-adjusted load.
When to use this tool
Use Bioremediation Moisture Adjusted Load when checking the stated environmental record, concentration, mass or observation convention.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter wetMass, moisture, dryConcentration, background. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read dryMass, netLoad. Use the output convention below.
Return dry mass and background-adjusted load. Require wetMass >= 0 and moisture in [0,1]; dryMass = wetMass*(1-moisture), netLoad = dryMass*(dryConcentration-background).1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| wetMass | Wet Mass | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| moisture | Water mass divided by wet mass, in [0,1]. | Required. Finite number; minimum 0; maximum 1. |
| dryConcentration | Analyte quantity per dry-material mass, on the same basis as background. | Required. Finite number. |
| background | Background | Required. Finite number. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| dryMass | Dry Mass | Required. Finite number. |
| netLoad | Net Load | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- Moisture is water mass per wet mass; concentrations share a dry-mass basis, and negative net loads are retained.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Use verified sampling and analytical records, compatible material bases and an appropriate complete treatment/transport analysis for environmental conclusions.
