Biomonitoring Censoring Code

Label an explicit result-censoring category without substituting a value or interpreting health significance.

Description

Label a supplied result's censoring convention.

Biomonitoring records distinguish specimen and collection provenance, observation states, source-qualified results and supplied exposure labels. A local comparison or normalized value depends on its stated reference and measurement basis. Recorded observations do not by themselves establish exposure history, biological harm or an appropriate intervention.

Label a supplied result's censoring convention.

When to use this tool

Use Biomonitoring Censoring Code when you already have resultId, censoring and need to label a supplied result's censoring convention.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter resultId, censoring. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read label. Use the output convention below.

Require resultId nonempty and censoring none/left/right/interval/unspecified; append it.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • No threshold, numeric result, censoring mechanism, imputed value, exposure or clinical finding is inferred.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Review original specimen, laboratory, collection and exposure records with the full assessment method. Verify comparability and provenance before drawing health or environmental conclusions from local flags, labels or arithmetic.
