Description
Return capture success share after optional retry exclusion.
Biometric research records separate subject IDs, template dimensions, image geometry, enrollment support and attempt budgets. Local counts and comparisons can reveal inconsistencies without reading biometric templates, detecting a physical trait or authenticating a person’s identity.
Return capture success share after optional retry exclusion.
When to use this tool
Use Biometric Capture Retry Credit when checking the stated biometric record, count, support, geometry or budget convention.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter attempts, retries, excludeRetries, successful. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read denominator, successShare, defined. Inspect defined before interpreting the associated values.
Return capture success share after optional retry exclusion. Require whole attempts >= retries >= 0 and successful <= attempts-retries; denominator subtracts retries under policy, share divides or is zero with defined false.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| attempts | Attempts | Required. Safe integer; minimum 0. |
| retries | Retries | Required. Safe integer; minimum 0. |
| excludeRetries | Exclude Retries | Required. Boolean. |
| successful | Successful | Required. Safe integer; minimum 0. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| denominator | Denominator | Required. Safe integer. |
| successShare | Success Share | Required. Finite number. |
| defined | Whether the stated denominator or information basis supports this value; inspect placeholders before interpretation. | Required. Boolean. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- Retry exclusion changes the reporting basis; no capture or identity verification occurs and unknown outcomes are not resolved.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
